Microsoft being a leader in major computing technologies has many professional certifications available for computer professionals.

MCSE, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer is the premium ceritication for network and server information technology professionals. Several levels leading up to this exist. This is a standard certification that many IT professionals achieve, and are expected to earn!

MCSD, Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer is the premiure MS certication for software developers. Most software developers and programmers, however, do not get this certification, even those who do Microsoft language programming.

MCP, Microsoft Certified Professional is the certification for those who pass at least one Microsoft exam, and therefore is the most often achieved.

Microsoft certifications can be very challenging, and also very rewarding to those who achieve them.

Microsoft certifications and exams change over time, along with the technologies of computing. Tests, and some certifications, do eventually get retired, such as the four Visual C++ related tests that have been offered.
