PhD Doctoral Degrees


Doctoral Degrees are the highest academic degree that one can achieve. These often require 5+ year of post Bachelor's degrees education, a very intense study, often independent study, of a particular subject, which allows a person to use the title of Doctor Jane Doe. Doctoral candidates must write a major and extremely significant doctoral dissertation which demonstrates their high level knowledge and academic abilities.

Doctoral Degrees are most often PhDs (Doctor of Philosophy), but often have other designations such as EdD (Doctor of Education), or DC (Doctor of Chiropractic). and other 'applied' titles.

PhDs are often employed at colleges and universities. These persons are set up to be society's thinkers and academics. They teach and/or do research in their academic subject, and carry on human knowledge.
